Why red should be our summer colour
We know we’ve mentioned the weather a lot this week but we can’t help it. We just don’t know when it will end.
When it comes to summer there is one colour we really love – red. It is meant to boost your confidence, increase enthusiasm and stimulate energy. In China and India red is associated with fortune and luck, in Singapore it represents joy, in Russia red means beautiful and here in London, well, everything seems to be red, from the phone booths to the double decker buses.
But above all, this is a colour that never goes out of season, it is just as fashionable during winter. We have picked some of our favourite summer red dresses and a two piece outfit from Darling. The first red dress really shows off your figure, you feel so sexy wearing it. It makes your stomach look flatter and shows your curves off.
Men, if you’ve stumbled across this and are still reading on, then we have some good news for you. According to a study from the Journal of Experimental Psychology, the colour red apparently makes men more attractive. For some reason women seem to associate this colour to wealth and success.
Personally, we don’t know what to think about men who wear red, we haven’t really paid a lot of attention to what colour all the attractive men wear. But we will now be watching out for this and reporting it on here soon.
Women, a series of experiments by two psychologists (Andrew and Daniela Niesta) show that men reported higher sexual attraction towards a woman who wore red. But here is what may interest you a little bit more, men spend more money on a date with a woman in red.
We really love this two piece outfit from Darling (below), it is comfortable to wear but yet so stylish too. Whether you’re going on a picnic, to a garden party or just on a shopping spree, it really works for everything.
