Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, love to explore, or just looking for a peaceful escape, the forest has something for everyone.

Join us as we dive into five of the things we love about Epping Forest, from its majestic trees to the delightful wildlife that calls it home.

1. The trees

The sheer beauty of the trees in Epping Forest never fails to amaze us. Each season brings its own magic, from lush green canopies in the summer to the golden hues of autumn.

2. Wildlife watching

The forest is home to an array of wildlife, and we love spotting deer, birds, and other creatures. Every walk feels like a mini-safari!

3. Plant life and learning

We love diving into the fascinating world of the forest’s plant life. One fun fact is about stinging nettles: did you know that male and female nettles look slightly different? The male flowers tend to hang down, while the female flowers point more upwards. Nature’s little details are so cool!

4. Tree climbing adventures

Climbing trees in Epping Forest is not only a lot of fun but also a great confidence booster for kids. It’s amazing to see them conquer new heights.

4. Feeding ducks and geese

One of our favorite pastimes is heading to the ponds and feeding the ducks and geese. It’s such a peaceful activity that brings joy to both kids and adults alike.
