Have you ever wondered what ‘post-dubstep’ sounds like? Then James Blake is your answer.

James Blake gave a concert at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town on Wednesday night, 30 November.

He is a British musician, born and raised in London, who merges soul, electronic and dubstep music. He released his self-titled debut album in February this year.

James Blake at the HMV Forum

When he started playing ‘Limit to your Love’, the crowd got really excited and everyone was bobbing up and down with the rhythm.

The beat of all his songs was amazingly powerful and made the ground vibrate.

Even the light effects on stage were engaging and timed according to the songs’ beats, always putting him in blue smoke, his trademark which also appears on his album cover.

The concert felt really intimate and the audience listened on comfortable seats to his slow soul-electronic songs.

If you like electro and dubstep, we would highly recommend seeing James Blake live.
