The London Jazz Festival is taking place right now, between November 11-20.
You can choose from 280 gigs in more than 50 venues across the capital – from street gigs to concert halls.
We went to see the Lucinda Belle Orchestra at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on November 12.
To start the show Jack Savoretti was the support act. He is a fantastic performer that knows how to make the audience fall for him.
Lucinda Belle took the centre stage as a singer and performer, but also performed along her orchestra. She has got a captivating voice live and we thought she sounded way more impressive on stage than on her album.
An ensemble of talented instrument players supported this gorgeous singer. Lucinda Belle played the harp, while eight men on a base guitar, the piano, drums, a guitar, flute, saxophone, a cello and base gave the music power and variety.
Her first album ‘My Voice and my 45 Strings’ is a piece of crossover-music, mixing classical harp music with gospel, folk and jazz influences, creating exciting new sounds.
