The Natural History Museum in South Kensington recently opened its annual exhibition of wildlife photography.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is an international competition owned by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife. It is sponsored by Veolia Environnement.
This year’s pieces are impressive wildlife and nature photographs, showing birds in movement, Nordic lights in Scandinavia, swarms of baitfish surrounding a lion-fish.
The award is divided into different categories, such as Adult Awards and Young Awards, and categorised in photography branches, like underwater world, urban wildlife, wild places and others.
Open from 21 October 2011 – 11 March 2012
