In London, a little green parakeet named Rambi decided to go on a surprise adventure! One sunny day, his family was having a barbecue in their garden. The smell of food was in the air, kids were laughing, and someone forgot to close Rambi’s cage door.

Before anyone could stop him—whoosh!—Rambi flapped his bright wings and flew up into the sky. His family called out to him, but he was already a tiny green dot above the rooftops.

Days turned into weeks, and Rambi’s family missed him so much. They put up posters, asked neighbours, and even shared his photo online. But Rambi was nowhere to be found.

Then, one day, something amazing happened! A kind person more than 100 miles away in Dorset found a friendly parakeet sitting in their garden. They brought him to an animal rescue centre, and when the helpers saw the tag on his leg, they realised — it was Rambi!

The rescue centre called his family right away. When they heard the news, they couldn’t believe it. “It’s a miracle!” said Rambi’s owner, Yianoulla. They drove all the way to pick him up, and as soon as Rambi saw them, he started chirping and flapping his wings with excitement.

Now Rambi is safe back home in London, swinging on his favourite perch and getting all the cuddles and treats he wants. No one knows how he managed to travel so far, but one thing’s for sure — this brave little bird really knows how to find his way home.
